Sadie wins 'attack' compensation

Sadie wins 'attack' compensation

Sadie Frost has received substantial compensation over a claim that she attacked a young model in the ladies' toilets during a party. The undisclosed settlement came as a result of a libel action against Associated Newspapers over an August 2005 article in The Mail on Sunday. Her solicitor, Rebecca Leaver, told Mr Justice Eady that it implied the fashion label owner launched an angry and bullying attack on a young model while she was in the ladies during the Project Catwalk post-show party. She also said the article claimed Ms Frost's behaviour was so appalling that it required her to undergo professional anger management treatment. Ms Leaver said the newspaper had now accepted that she did not behave in the manner suggested. It had paid her substantial compensation for the damage and distress caused and had agreed to pay her legal costs. Ms Frost was not present at London's high court for the ruling.
