Chemical leak leaves man hospitalized with burns

(NECN: Brad Puffer, Attleboro, Mass.) - One person is hospitalized with chemical burns and 19 others are being evaluated at hospitals after a chemical accident at Stern-Leach Company in Attleboro, Massachusetts. Officials say employees at the company caused the minor explosion this morning when they tried to mix sodium cyanide and hydrogen peroxide solutions under a fume hood. The company makes gold and silver alloys and the chemical mixture is used to clean jewelry. read more
